Oman Desert Ultra

A single-stage 42K crossing of the Sharqiya Sands. Self-supported format — you carry everything you need between aid stations at km 10, 20, 30. Water resupply only; no food or kit swap. Start at 14:00 from the Bidiyah trailhead to allow a full night crossing in cooler temperatures. Mandatory kit: 3L minimum water capacity, headlamp with spare batteries, GPS tracker (rented with entry), sand gaiters, SPF sun sleeves, whistle, foil blanket, mobile phone with local SIM. Cut-off 18 hours. Finish at the Wahiba Sands encampment — overnight accommodation included in entry. Breakfast served from 04:00.
