Money · How payouts actually work

Money in. Money out.
No surprises.

Runners pay through Amwalpay. The platform takes 2.5% of each paid registration. Organizer payouts and refunds stay visible in finance.

The flow

cleanly tracked.

Payment methods

Checkout covers the rails Omani runners actually use. Cards work for international entries, OmanNet keeps it local for the majority of GCC-based registrations, and mobile wallets remove friction on phones. Checkout is bilingual EN/AR and PCI-DSS compliance sits with Amwalpay.

Fees

Runners are free. Organizers pay 2.5% of each paid registration sold through their events on Barq Lane. If a registration is free, there is no platform fee on it.

  • 2.5% per paid registration
  • Free registrations = zero platform fee

Payout schedule

Payouts run through Barq Lane's organizer payout process directly to the organizer's bank account. The finance dashboard shows paid registrations, refunds, platform fee, and net balance.

  • Direct to organizer bank
  • Finance dashboard balance
  • OMR reporting

Refunds

Organizers initiate refunds from inside the dashboard. The refund engine nets the amount against pending payouts — no separate bank movement, no manual reconciliation. Every refund is audit-logged with actor, reason, and timestamp so the trail is intact for finance and dispute review.

  • Organizer-initiated from dashboard
  • Auto-netted against pending payouts
  • Audit-logged (actor, reason, time)
  • Reflects in finance dashboard immediately

Reconciliation

The finance dashboard shows revenue broken down by event and by category, live as registrations come in. Refunds and disputes have their own audit trail. Monthly statement export ships as CSV and PDF so finance teams can close the books without re-keying anything.

  • Real-time finance dashboard
  • Per-event and per-category revenue
  • Refund and dispute audit trail
  • Monthly statement export (CSV + PDF)
